What would you do to retain your top talent?

For the last 100 years, we have done things in a way that ensured that a tiny part of the population would look good and be seen as powerful. While the rest were left to be insignificant sometimes feeling like cogs in the machine.

How can we co-create space that is for everyone?

It makes sense on every level that we want to have high value relationships. Inclusion is integral to feeling like we all matter. Diversity says that we all get to have our voices heard.

Could a few brush strokes change your vibe?

After years of creating events for high performing teams in the tech sector and beyond, one thing I’ve learned is that we’re all just trying to find a way to create meaningful engagement in order to build long term relationships.

And WHY NOT?

At home, at work or at the gym and beyond, pleasure is a proven motivator in every facet of life

Where do we spend the bulk of our time?

WORK.

It makes sense on every level that we want to have high value relationships. Inclusion is integral to feeling like we all matter. Diversity says that we all get to have our voices heard.

For the last 100 years, we have done things in a way that ensured that a tiny part of the population would look good and be seen as powerful. While the rest were left to be insignificant sometimes feeling like cogs in the machine.

In this day and age where burnout and overwhelm are terms heard daily, we are clamoring for fulfilling lives that include a climate of inclusion and diversity.

I was recently (a little obsessively) reading about burnout, and what I found was an article about neuroscientists who were studying burnout. What they discovered is that they were one of the sectors suffering the deepest impact from being overworked and underpaid. With heavy student loan debt, they were struggling to stay in a position that was taking the joy out of living.

Each scientist reported the same simple facts, we all just want to eat good food, spend time with our loved ones, and stay connected to the things we love to do through creativity to exercise. No one wants to go to work and deal with a toxic climate. Overwhelmingly, these scientists were quitting their jobs instead of powering through like their parents would have. People agreed that life is too short to spend it where you don’t feel like diversity and inclusion are important.

In our current climate, employees have a choice, and they are choosing careers based on corporate culture as much as pay and other benefits.

People want to feel like people at work. They want to connect, have good relationships, and be able to trust their employers.

Teams and executives are craving a way to connect that looks different from getting sloshed at happy hour, wondering what regrettable thing is going to happen next. Employers want real impact and ways of developing high performance teams. Teams want a way to connect with each other where they feel a sense of community and understanding. When people have meaningful engagement they feel fulfilled because they belong to a collective of professionals working together because each voice is welcome and included.

My signature Transformational Intuitive Painting process is changing the way that teams connect. This is team building like you’ve never done it. My process is a cutting edge way to learn how to connect with the intuition through creativity so that we begin to recognize our own inner voice instead of the voice of society, friends or family, or bosses or staff... It's a way to really KNOW your gut instinct and TRUST that it’s not the “SHOULDS” or the “politically correct” thing to do, it’s authentic and aligned to your purpose.

When teams do this work together they are learning to see and trust each other in a safe space. They are aligned and on purpose which lets them come up with brilliant solutions, new ideas and creating dynamic work relationships. Everyone is learning something new which lights up the areas of the brain that cause a flood of the “feel good” hormones which create stronger bonds than any old school happy hour.
